Hyperbolae of Youth
This is the 7th work of the Korean Film Archive’s Classic Film Collection. It shows director Han Hyeong-mo’s excellent sense of the comedy genre. He successfully mobilized the audience through his work, ‘Madam Freedom’(56). ‘Double Curve of Youth’ also provides additional footage of popular musical elements including Park Si-chin playing the guitar and the violin appearing in the initial part. This movie, which shows the happenings of people from different classes meeting and getting married, combines them with musical elements which are entertainment patterns familiar to Korean masses in those days, thus providing us with unusual pleasure.
