The DMZ

<The DMZ> was shot in DMS for the first time in 12 years since the ceasefire on the Korean Peninsula. The running length of the original in 1965 during its box office debut was 90 minutes, only to be edited down to 62 minutes prior to the film’s entry in the 13th Asia Film Festival. This semi-documentary was awarded a prize in the non-drama movie category in recognition of its outstanding factual details related to the journey of a girl and a boy and its artistic value. It was released as the first issue of a classic movie collection on DVD in 2010 (currently, no theater movie version left). <The DMZ> depicts the grief and sorrow resulting from the nation’s division; it is expected to provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.
