Kim Ki-young s Screenplay Collection II

“Kim Ki-young’s Script Collection II” (Korean Film Archive) was released as a sequel to “Script Collection I” by Kim Ki-young, published during his lifetime. This book contains a collection of 6 scripts written by Director Kim Ki-young: “The Sea Knows,” “Goryeojang,” “Asphalt,” “Geumbyeongmae (The Forbidden Legend of Sex & Chopsticks),” “Transgression,” and “Winter Rainbow.”

It is a collection of the pre-shoot original screenplays and pre-censored screenplays or pre-reviewed film shooting screenplays sorted by comparing with the various printed books housed in the Korean Film Archive based on the screenplays donated by the family of late director Kim Ki-young and the screenplays owned by director Yoo Ji-hoeng who was acquainted with film director Kim Ki-young.

Screenplay Collection II contains a slew of Kim Ki-young’s screenplays including the original screenplays written by the late director as the most prominent screenplays he himself chose, his most famous screenplays that were not made into films, and screenplays that were made into movies but without copies left. It is expected to serve as a guide for exploring the film world of Director Kim Ki-young.
