Forty Years of Korean Film Archive

This book was produced to commemorate the 40^th anniversary of the Korean Film Archive and record its past 40 years of history. Employees from the Korean Film Archive planned, searched data and participated in drafting the book from January 2013 until April 2014. This book records an overall business introduction of the Korean Film Archive such as collection, preservation and utilization and the changing process per era in each chapter. It could be referred to as a beginner’s book to reflect on the past footsteps of the Korean Film Archive, which is the only film archive institution in Korea, and raise questions about the significance and role of the film archive in Korean society.
