Director's Choice - Koyaanisqatsi in 35mm

July's Director's Choice is Koyaanisqatsi, a philosophical meditation on nature and human civilization, set to a majestic score by Philip Glass. The screening will be a special presentation of a 35mm print donated to the Korean Film Archive after its showing at the Jeonju International Film Festival in April, which included an introduction by Haden Guest, Director of the Harvard Film Archive. This is a rare opportunity to experience the overwhelming power of video and music on a theater screenin through a 35mm print. The screening will be followed by a conversation between KOFA Director Kim Hong-joon and critic Yu Un-sung on Friday 7 July.
